Boski On Campus

Well I am going to try something new and do my college and pro picks separately. Just shake things up.

So let's see what Saturday has for us.

Let us start off with MAC tilt of the year.

Buffalo at Ball State (-4) I am taking the Bulls, who have shown improvement. Also my man Eric went there. Bulls 31 - 20

Penn State at Minnesota (+3) Both teams have struggled at times, but this should be a good one. I like the Screaming Eagles. . . sorry the Gophers to win 28 -21.

Pittsburgh at Syracuse (+7) Sure the Panthers are 4-1, but I think the Cuse' will make this a fight. The have been 5-0 against the number. They do it again, also Dave Wannstedt still is there coach. The Orange win 22 - 19. That one's for Eric and Kevin.

Stanford at Notre Dame (-29) Cardinal are game planning to see if they can miss flight to South Bend. I think the Irish will try to run it up in hopes of getting Brady Quinn back into the Heisman race. Irish 49 - 10

Michigan State at Michigan (-15) Last week the Spartans had the Illini plant their flag after win. This week the Spartans just get flattened. John L. Smith may sucker punch himself at the press conference afterwards. Wolverines 36 - 17

Missouri at Texas Tech (-5.5) The Tigers come in 5-0, but that has come against cream puffs. So now they roll into Lubeck and face the Air Raid. Now you can see that the new rules are having an affect. Texas Tech has only scored over 40 once this season. But the Red Raiders bring the Tigers back down a couple of pegs. Red Raiders 31 - 24

Tennessee at Georgia (-2.5) Even though the Dawgs are 5-0 they come in as the underdog since they have trouble moving the football. They face the 4-1 Vols whose only loss was to the Gators. I see the Vols in a tight one 19 - 13

Bowling Green at Ohio State (-35) I do not foresee any problems here for the Buckeyes. The only problem will be the 35 points. I think the Bowling Green covers. Buckeyes 39 - 9.

Navy at Air Force (-2.5) Hey who is up for academy football? I didn't think so. But I think the Middies go in and beat the Falcons. Midshipmen 29 - 24

San Deigo State at BYU (- 28.5) Remember when this used to be the more entertaining games of the year. I miss those days. Cougars 44 - 14

LSU at Florida (pick'em) This one may resemble the pitchers duel that LSU and Auburn had a couple of weeks back. LSU is stacked and may be the best team in the nation. But they had to play at Auburn and it may happen again this week at the Swamp. But it won't the Tigers win in black and blue fashion. Tigers 19 - 17

Washington at USC (-19) The Huskies may make this game, they played well at Oklahoma. So they could hang with SC. But something says this is the week the Trojans may breakout on offense. Trojans 38 - 17.

Arizona at UCLA (-12) Bruins look to avenge the beating they took last year (52-14 yikes!). I would feel more confident if the O was not as sluggish as it is. I thought that Willie Tuitama was going to be the next big thing. I have a feeling he will be more like Ortega Jenkins. Bruins win but the Cats cover 24 - 20

Nebraska at Iowa State (+6.5) This used to be the line for the opening quarter in this game. But things change. I see the Huskers winning. Huskers 35 - 27

Oregon at Cal (-5) This may be the best game this weekend. Two top offensive teams duking it out. The Ducks are good, very good. They got help against the Sooners, but this team is a good. As for the Bears, they are not the team that got pounded in Knoxville. But this week the team with ugly uni's lose. Bears 41 -32

The Game of the Week

The Red River Shootout

Texas at Oklahoma (-4) So much talent on both squads, sadly the area they are not the strongest is at QB. The Sooners have owned the Horns for the past few years, including some serious beating of good Texas teams. But I think even with Peterson, the Texas have too many good players out there. The Horns win 20 - 16

Now I have to get ready to dazzle you with my brilliant NFL picks. Or at least provide you with some laughs, just like these picks.
