Playoff Notes

A's pull out another one to take a 2-0 lead. The Boofster did alright and I should get off the guy. He did his job and gave them 6 quality innings.

Who knows what happens if Hunter makes that catch who knows how it would have unfolded. But then the ball was hit by former Tuffy, Kotsay.

Now the Twins no have to put down the shovel since they are now in a deep enough hole.

The Dodgers will now remember the Maine. He did better than I thought. But the Dodgers did their best to make him a star. The playoff are not the time to have a Little League type running gaffe. Next to making the 1st or 3rd out at third is a cardinal sin. Having two runners thrown out at the plate on the same play, during a playoff game on the road trumps that.

Looks like Delgado had to do some catch up since he had not been to the playoffs. And with Wright getting three RBI's we will be constantly reminded David Wright walks on water. Hey the guy is good, but lets talk after year 5.

All is not well for the Mets, the Dodgers nearly got to Wagner as he threw some gas on the fire in the 9th. Thankfully the damp weather and Nomar chasing a bad pitch helped Billy out.

Speaking of damp weather

The Tigers get pardon from governor, er I mean a rain delay. Hey Jim maybe if got the patch you would have spent the time you use for your smoke breaks to call someone about the weather. You have a phone. You or the team can make calls about the weather. Sure would it have been nice to have the Yankees be clearer, but when you go on the road, especially in the playoffs expect no quarter. This is not the first time your team has been to the Big Apple and the Front Office has to do a better job on your accommodations.

Verlander vs. Mussina for game two. Right now as I check it is 3-2 Yanks. So it looks like the Kitty's are going to be down 2-0 for Friday's game.
